Are you going to move home or business facilities?
Discover these useful tips from Sandro Mudanças to help the process along, optimising resources and cutting costs
!

  • I’m going to move house, what now?

In the runup to the move, draw up an inventory and set aside whatever goods you do not want to transport. You might make donations or recycle objects and materials that won’t be of any more use.

Don’t forget to leave out some of the articles you may need for the following days (nightclothes, personal hygiene products, medication, jewellery, documents, phone-chargers, etcetera).

  • What to do before the move?

    • Before the move takes place, you should switch off fridges and freezers and store any foods in thermal containers. You might make recourse to beach cooler boxers or thermal bags.
    • Prior to leaving the property, for reasons of security, check you turned off the gas, water and electricity.
    • Keep the entranceways to the different rooms free of obstacles and communicate with the Sandro Mudanças team the best means of loading and unloading to gain a broader vision over operational implementation.
    • Whenever possible, reserve parking spaces for the Sandro Mudanças vehicles to park close to your residence.
  • What to do with the domestic appliances for transportation?

Large domestic appliances, such as fridges for example, may only be reconnected at least 12 hours after moving location. Following their installation, check that all the connections are operating properly.

  • What procedures do I need to go through on arrival in my new location?

On arrival at your new home/company offices, it’s best to have already defined the locations to place each piece of furniture, domestic appliance, box or other objects. This action speeds up and facilitates the transport, storing and assembling process carried out by our team.
